Soon after the Braves moved from Milwaukee to Atlanta in 1966, the team found success, winning the NL West division title. But it wasn’t until the ‘73-‘74 seasons that they really had something to cheer about, when Hank Aaron slugged his way to 714 home runs, breaking Babe Ruth’s record that had stood for 40 years.

Fans cheered “Bravo!” and ushered in the team’s nickname, which has been fitting ever since, claiming twenty-one more division titles, six National League pennants and a pair of World Series championships.

Our Bravos pennant celebrates Hank Aaron’s record-smashing years in Atlanta and takes its design cues from the team’s uniform and color scheme from that era.

DETAILS

This vintage-style pennant measures 12” x 20” and is constructed with washed 10 oz duck canvas, tea-stained twill tape and all-purpose thread. Each one is sewn, screen painted and aged by hand for a homespun, timeworn look that ensures no two pennants are alike.
